The main goal of this roundtable discussion is requirements to city environment where innovations could be created and implemented. Participants will focus on the following topics:
- Planning urban environment for the center of education, research and development;
- How to use science to form new quality of the city environment;
- Technological development of building industry and its influence on the city environment.
We expect about 300 participants and 50 of them will be part of this roundtable. Among them there are chief architects of Russian regional centers, representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development, representatives of architecture research institutes and creative laboratories.
At the same time there will be arranged an exhibition of student works submitted for the regional competition ‘21st Century University: Architecture and Town-Planning’ conducted by Architectural and Building Business Incubator of TGASU in collaboration with the Tomsk City Administration.

V.L.Glazychev is a specialist in Art History, Professor of Moscow Architectural University, Member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, President of National Design Academy. He administers the Chair of Territories Development of the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation. V.L.Glazychev is an expert in design and city environment management.
He wrote more than 20 books and 500 articles on city ecology and architecture, social problems of big cities, design and educational policy. He is the author of the books “Urban environment: development technology”, “Deep in Russia: 2000-2002”, “About our dwelling place”, “Face of the city”, “Architecture encyclopedia”.
