A series of Tomsk blogger club open meetings «Townsman. Citizen. Blogger» starts in Tomsk
Organizers suggest to hold the first meeting in discussion format with a cup of coffee and to consider the following questions:
- Modern city is changing. Who is a new townsman and how does blogosphere change, if a city aspires to technological leadership?
- Talking about citizenship is in fashion today, but what stands behind this notion? A citizen: who is he and why does he need blogosphere?
- How to bring Tomsk to a Russian, world blogging and innovative journalism map?
A series of Tomsk blogger club open meetings “Townsman. Citizen. Blogger” will include regular lectures and discussions with the participation of invited quests. On November 2, Tomsk townsmen, bloggers from Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk will participate in the meeting. The second meeting (November 19) will be attended by Vitaliy Leibin, chief editor of Russkiy reporter journal, Nikolay Protsenko, deputy chief editor of Expert-Yug journal and Ilya Kabanov, the author of metkere.com blog, the winner of the competition “Best blog in Russian language” (Novosibirsk city). Vasiliy Esmanov, the founder of LOOK AT ME project, will be a guest of December 7 meeting.
Date and time of the first meeting: Wednesday, November 2, 6.30 p.m.
Venue: Kilёv bar, 41 Lenina Avenue (Culture center of Tomsk electric bulb plant)
Organizers: Tomsk region administration, Tomsk blogger club and non-commercial partnership “Onto”.
