  Tomsk popular lectures project continues discussing perspectives of seven priority directions of INO Tomsk 2020 projects. On Friday, November 11, the fourth lecture titled “Future technologies: nanomaterials and nanoelectronics” was held. Valeriy Kagadey, General Director Deputy of Micran, Research and Production Company, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, delivered this lecture. Oleg Khasanov, Director of science and educational innovation center “Nanomaterials and nanotechnologies” of National research Tomsk polytechnic university, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, presented the future of nanomaterials.

• Power engineering future – Smart Grids. The third popular lecture out of «Technologies of Future» cycle in the framework of INO Tomsk 2020 project took place in Tomsk

  On Thursday, November 3, there was held the third popular lecture out of popular lectures cycle for townsmen, the subject of which was “Future technologies: Smart Grid and Energy-Efficient Technologies”. The lecture was attended by students, postgraduates, schoolchildren and also by Tomsk energy companies’ representatives. Yuriy Borovikov, Institute of Power Engineering of National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University vice-rector and director, and Dmitry Galkin, Smart Grids Research and Development Centre establishment project coordinator, CJSC “Fiztech-Energo” business manager delivered the lecture.

  On Friday, October 28, the second lecture from the cycle of popular lectures for townsmen titled “Technologies of the future: what is the role of education?” was held. More than 130 Tomsk dwellers visited the lecture. Ilya Savchuk, Director for development programs of Metaver project group, and Alexander Uvarov, developer of the foresight “Education 2030”, TUSUR Vice-Rector for Innovations and international development, Institute of Innovations Director acted as lecturers.

  The project “Tomsk lectures” is a cycle of popular lectures for Tomsk residents in seven breakthrough areas of the region development which will start on the 21st of October. The lectures are organized under the framework of the “INO Tomsk 2020” which is directed on the products and technologies innovative development and the creation of science-driven production.

• Interuniversity technology dialogue ended up with discussing the ways to establish an entrepreneurial university

  The participants of the dialog (representatives of Tomsk region administration, Ritsumeikan University, TUSUR, Tomsk state university and Tomsk polytechnic university) discussed the way to build an entrepreneurial university. The discussion took place in the framework of considering TUSUR mission as an entrepreneurial one.

• Skolkovo Fund and TUSUR signed a Declaration on establishment of Association of Entrepreneurial Universities of Russia

  On Wednesday, September 28, a Declaration on establishment of Association of Entrepreneurial Universities of Russia was signed by leading universities (The National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (University ITMO), Moscow institute of physics and technology, National research nuclear university “MIFI”, Tomsk state university of control systems and radio electronics (TUSUR), National research university of science and technology “MISIS”) in the framework of Saint-Petersburg international innovation forum.
